Colonies of Bacteria
To Accept Or Not To Accept
This is the outcome of one of my experiment. All the dots are the colonies of bacteria. Isn't it cool? yes it is.... hehe
So I would like to share with all my readers about this experiment (if I have one huhu). We were asked to do an induced mutation i.e. we are the one that make the mutation on the bacteria happened. The reason of induced mutation is to resist the antibiotics that we gave to the bacteria. This antibiotic was given in order to kill the bacteria. But by doing the induced mutation, the next generation will have a different genetic coding. This will ensure that the antibiotic which is specifically killing the 1st generation will not be able to kill the whole colony. As the generation to another generations....the differences in the genetic coding between the 1st generation to the recent generation getting bigger. Thus this will make them more resistance towards the antibiotic and then the antibotic will be useless towards them.
The moral of this story:-
We can apply this concept within humanity. When we heard ppl said they are what they are and there is nothing you can do to change....they are totally wrong.
My Quote: Why bacteria which were called the lowest form of living thing by the ancient greek scientists can change themselves in order to overcome the obstacle (read: antibiotic) when we are the highest or the most complex living thing said that we have no power to change ourselves?
